3 Surefire Ways to Publish Your First Article on Medium

Considering so many people feel scared to publish their ideas or thoughts on online platforms, actually there are a lot of ways for the people, especially you, to publish the first article. And of those platforms that will actually help you to build your own blog with whatever content you wish to create is medium.
Medium is a platform I really love and enjoy as a writer. It’s my first platform to create a better writer in “me”. The platform is full of insights from other writers and all of those writers come from all around the world.
Many ideas could come up in your head just by reading other creators’ articles. So if you’re not harnessing what medium has offered to us, you’ve already missed by a long shot.
These are 3 clear ways I come up with when I publish my article on medium.
#1. Publish Content That Speaks Your Interest
My first advice is probably the clearest way to begin and act on your way to publish your first article. You like to cook and why don’t you write a recipe or step-by-step on making a food that everyone would love to do. The same applies for other interests.
If you ever think that you must focus only on one niche or interest, that is totally wrong advice to hear from the very first start. At this stage, what you need to do is exploration. By exploring other niches, you’ll find out which is the best content that suits you the best.
#2. Write Articles From Different Point Of View
I tend to see this kind of article on medium. If writers A,B, and C talk about “something”, then there will be those writers D,E, and F who talk about the opposite of those writers “something”.
The opposite could be any form. It can be a positive, negative, or neutral viewpoint.
For instance, after I read some “hot” articles talking about the “follow-for-follow” strategy to get 100 followers on their medium blog so it would help them ease the process to be accepted in the Medium Partner Program and accept payment, the following day, I already found a couple articles stating why “follow-for-follow” is not a good or best strategy to do to attract followers.
You could also use the same technique to publish your first article, but make sure it’s full of detailed analysis if you want to point out your opinions.
#3. Just Publish Short Articles
Please don’t go hard on yourself for the first time. You aren’t obliged to create a long article. There are no restrictions on how many words you must put on your first article.
I once saw a kid on medium publishing a short paragraph explaining his name and age and why he published his writing. It doesn’t need fancy content to actually publish your first article.
Just publish short articles everyday. It will eventually generate more readers if the quantity of your articles increases over time.
