It worked pretty much fine to me who wasn't a famous or experienced writer

I assume all of you who read this now have probably just started your writing career or journey to become a famous writer. It means that you are a newcomer to this writing platform and writing world. As a newcomer or an amateur, you perhaps realized it’s hard to produce content for your writing every single day.

Well, welcome to the club then, because you’re not the only one feeling the same.

You got me too, and everyone who took their first step on this adventure.

Beginner writers often have one common problem with their writing process and content creation, which is what we call “Writer’s Block”. How often do you find it hard to just express your thoughts, which have already been coming up in your mind, to a blank sheet of paper? I guess the answer is very often.

Writer’s block not only invades the new writers, many experienced and famous writers are also having the same condition as the new ones. It isn’t something unusual for every writer to face, you just have to get used to it if you want to be a writer.

To overcome your writer’s block as a new writer who wants to start publishing your first writing or to always maintain the content creation for your writing, here are 3 easy steps to help you overcome writer’s block.

#1. Generating Ideas from Events Occurred Right Now or Before

Before everything else, what you want to do before writing is to have ideas. Ideas are hard to think of, but you can get them from everyday events. You have 24 hours a day, and in those hours, no way you’re not having anything to tell. You can also tell events that have already happened before.

It might be an incident. You probably saw a car crash or a car hit pedestrians. You can make it into a story and take the lessons from the accident that happened before.

For example: “I Possibly Never Want To Go Out Again, Here Is Why.”

After you create the headline, you tell the incident you had seen or felt before.

Or it might be an experience. You perhaps go to a tourist attraction or just follow a one-day seminar and training about building or growing a business on that day.

For example: “After I Followed This Seminar And Training, My Business Income Ten Times Doubled After More Than Five Years In Stagnant.”

The materials given from the seminar could be your content or also step-by-step how you made your business become much bigger.

You can create any headline and content whatever you like, but make sure it’s not a scam or false information or you will get banned by the medium itself. Put a proof when telling a valid number. Generating ideas is easier when it’s coming from real-life events.

#2. Create A “Rough Draft” of Your Ideas Into Written Text

You have had the ideas, now what?

Of course, you want to put those ideas into words placed on a blank sheet of paper. Don’t just sit and do nothing, instead actualize it with words that haven’t been polished. You need to get rough with your first writing. Don’t be afraid to put things like what you had thought. After all, you will not publish it right away, right?

This step forces you to be more original than it should be. The part where you just focus on actualizing the ideas into written text. Never think about how bad your grammar is, just write it down, whatever the condition is.

Be raw, be fearless.

#3. Experimenting on Different Perspectives

Your writing niche may focus on one or two topics, but you can also gain a lot of content for only one or two of your topics just by discussing them from different perspectives.

Let’s say the topic of your writing is about writing and freelancing. You could give insights on how writing could get you a freelance job or how you could become a freelancer on writing subjects. Either way, it is a win-win for both topics.

Make sure to always experiment and cross-experiment on different topics but still relevant to your purpose and ideas.

Final Thoughts

The 3 steps above listed are the things that help me so much to overcome my writer’s block as a writer. While it may be useful for me, I want to share it with you guys, especially for the beginner, newcomer, and amateur writers who most likely just started their journey to become talented writers. I hope this information may benefit you and help you along the road.
